I recently changed the look of an old cupboard I bought many years ago. It was a lovely cupboard the way it was but just wasnt fitting in with the rest of my furniture so I gave it a facelift....

Hello, its been awhile, life has had its ups and downs laterly, I have been busy back creating for the markets and I just reopened my ebay shop and on a different note, My dad has been in and out of hospital with his leukemia and as a result found he had colon cancer and skin cancer, Its been a long continuing battle with the leukemia but the others were a surprise. Thankfully they removed his colon cancer and the skin cancers are being removed. I have got faith that he will pull through and be around for a little while yet. On a different note I have got some photos to share with you, of some new shades I have just listed on ebay. Take care till next time xx Tania

I have been on a little break...

I have recently been visiting family and friends back on the mainland of Australia and it was so nice to catch up with them after 9 months of living here in Tasmania. I managed to do alittle shopping as well and bring back some pieces to sell on my market days.. One place I enjoyed visiting was my sister and brother in laws property in northern N.S.W My brother in law has been busy over time building a lovely stone wall around a vegie patch. His most recent additions was these lovely tin garden beds made for there fast growing and ageing tropical birch trees They turned out looking so rustic and aged...Love them.
And I took some photo;s of ageing timber rusty pieces and a beautiful fence covered in moss and cascading vine.
Winters fast approaching and it will give me time to create and up load many pieces to my etsy stores, Looking forward to settling in to my craft room to create. Thanks for stopping by.. Tania..

Fabulous Frames...

I have an addiction for frames, especially ornate frames.. A friend text me the yesterday morning to let me no that there was a garage sale around the corner from me.
And look what there was to be found.. Loads of lovely brassy, ornate frames...
My heart was racing, and they were such a great price, I collected them up as quick as I could, and wandered on to find a queen size crocheted bed cover in a tea stained cream colour.
All my frames I have bought in the past I have painted a soft grey, but I feel these ones are going to stay just the way they are for now... Tania..

With Autumn well on its way I have been busy cleaning and rearranging before the snuggling season arrives. I a have also been busy hunting and gathering bits and pieces for the markets. I do find it hard some weeks here in tasmania to find what Im looking for. The mainland does give you more options, so I think when we hit the mainland this christmas The trailer will be coming with us. These mirrors in the pictures below were an antique gold in colour, so I gave them a makeover with a soft grey. I do love how they turned out.
Enjoy your week ahead..Tania

A change is in the air with Autumn on the way, I love the crisp mornings and evenings, and the change in the trees leaves,, I have thinking of changes within myself of late to. We moved down to Tasmania some 7months ago and I have had my ups and downs emotionally as well.I guess Im still trying to find my feet here and struggle with that somedays,.And with that ... I am looking for ways to create a business from my creations to but with so many things that I can do Its finding just one thing or acouple to focus my time on perfecting. I have worked so many years in factories sewing repetitious work that I find it hard now to just stick to making just one thing.. Does anyone else feel this way to?? I did however recently muck around with some Linen and created these tags that I have added to my Old french doors shop on etsy..
